Tamera is a licensed cosmetologist and an expert in her field.  With over 20 years of experience she is considered a Master Stylist, Colorist & Makeup Artist.  She is also a certified Great Lengths hair extension technician.  She focuses on the “whole” person and their lifestyle to create “their look”.

 
     As a native east coaster and Chesapeake Bay girl, Tamera has had quite a career adventure across the USA.  

 

    Tamera attended a University to study technical theater specializing in period character hair and makeup.  She also completed a one year course of study in cosmetology in 1981.  She worked with Sam Brocato- London’s stylist of the year in 1992, and James Morrison- master educator for Toni and Guy. She was a Sebastian Club Unite owner and advocate/educator for Sebastian for several years.

 

    Tamera worked behind the scenes in film when she lived in Park City, Utah- home of Robert Redford’s Sundance Film festival and Film Institute.  She was listed with the Utah Film Commission.  Both organizations created  ample opportunities to meet and work with many gifted and talented people.  While working in the “Lion’s Mane” Salon on historic Main St. in Park City, she was fortunate to have USA Ski Team members such as three time Olympian/Giant Slalom star Heidi Voelker as salon clients.

 

     Behind the scenes she has had the chance to meet Sean Penn, Al Pacino, Tim Robbins, Amanda Peet, Katherine Keener, Sydney Pollack on the set of  “The Interpreter”  filmed in NYC/2004 and a music showcase hosted by Sean Penn-  featuring singer/songwriter Arthur Godfrey.  Talented Jeff Timmons of “98 Degrees” has been a salon client when in CA. and all agree makes a “wow” hair model !  Tamera’s “kilted” cousin- Kyf Brewer formerly of bands The Ravyns” & “Company of Wolves” - now the entertaining ”Barleyjuice”, gets a wee noggin’ trim when she is on the east coast.  He is also the voice behind USA Dodge Ram Commercials.

   Always the adventurer, Tamera finally ran out of land and when she hit the Pacific Ocean and found her niche in beautiful artist town Laguna Beach, So. Ca.  Relaxed and down to earth, she took a look around and planted her shears in the sandy beaches of the OC. This lovable “Lagunatic”,  an artist herself,  dabbles in paints, sculpting, etc...but loves using her talents on - people -her “favorite medium of choice”. 

    Tamera's latest CA projects include hair for Newport Beach Jaguar with Lingerie by Agent Provocateur, NYC/Paris and Yves Saint Laurent runway for South Coast Plaza/Riviera Magazine.  She has worked behind the scenes for Disney and SoCal Film Group.
